...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
6 AM CDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding of up to 1.5 feet above normally
dry ground.
* WHERE...Coastal portions of southeastern Louisiana and
Mississippi, especially along southeast facing shores.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 6 AM CDT Monday. Water levels
will be highest around the time of high tide, which is generally
forecast to occur between 10 PM and 1 AM along the open coast
each evening/night.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of low lying lots, parks, and roads with only
isolated road closures expected.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
Forecast water levels may warrant coastal flood warnings in some
areas Sunday evening/night and Monday evening/night.
