An area of low pressure will move across the region on Saturday. Ahead of the system, deep low level moisture and daytime heating will allow instability to build, leading to the development of thunderstorms during the afternoon; with strong shear in place, supercells are likely. Hail larger than an inch in diameter, damaging winds in excess of 60 mph, and tornadoes are likely with any storms that develop. A few strong tornadoes cannot be ruled out.</pre>
