...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...        

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be  

  possible.     

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following      

  parishes, Coastal Jefferson Parish, Lower Lafourche, Lower    

  Plaquemines and Lower Terrebonne and southern Mississippi,    

  including the following areas, Northern Harrison, Northern    

  Jackson, Southern Harrison and Southern Jackson.      

* WHEN...Through this evening.  

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of low-lying and    

  flood-prone locations, especially in poor drainage and urban  

  areas. Some streets may become impassable due to flooding.    

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... 

  - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase        

    in coverage later this morning, becoming more numerous later        

    this afternoon and into tonight. Area average rainfall totals       

    of 1 to 3 inches can be expected, however localized&#x2F;isolated       

    amounts of 5 to 7 inches could be possible.
